Size 171 cm
Lamaze has been aptly described as an impressive athlete by breeding director Dr. Thomas Nissen. For all his size, the big-framed stallion characterized by a very good top-line and long lines displays very good movement. The walk is ground-covering and already rather regular. He boasts the typical Holsteiner trot with relaxed movement through the knee, and he canters with long strides with good carrying power from behind. Lamaze performed particularly remarkable every time he was free jumping at the pre-selection as well as at the stallion licensing and stood out for his carefulness and jumping ability.
Lamaze‘s sire Lasino is one of the best performance offspring by Landgraf I. A successful sport horse under Jörg Kreutzmann himself, Lasino boasts numerous international sport horse offspring like for example Lord Luis under Denis Lynch, Le Beau with Stein Endresen, and Leconte under Marcus Ehning. Lasino’s own performance and his ability to sire performance offspring are not only due to the good genes inherited from his own sire but also to the powerful genes of Capitol, Lord, and Roman, sires found in direct succession in Lasino’s maternal line.
Lamaze’s 2nd sire, Corrado I, is one of the most important stallions in the Holsteiner breeding programme and founded a sire line of his own with his sons like Coriano, Corofino, and Clinton. Not only Lamaze’s outer appearance is clearly infl uenced by his 2nd sire Corrado I, but also his great jumping ability is due to this exceptional sire. The next stallion in the maternal line, Leandro, provides for an interesting and well-directed cross to once-in-a-century stallion Landgraf I. Lamaze’s 3rd dam Celesta by Caletto I is a full sister to the highly successful international sport horses Countess G and Capuccino, and to the licensed stallion Cabochon.
