Size 169 cm
At the 2011 Neumünster stallion approval, this expressive colt convinced licensing commission and visitors alike. Given the strong construction of his topline and his correct legs, his appearance is clearly stamped by his grandsire Caretino. His jumping has ground-covering and elastic basic gaits with excellent rhythm. As his abiltiy to carry weight increases, this interesting young stallion finds his balance in an excellent way. His jumping is characterised by carefulness, good technique, and scope.
Casalito’s damline, line 18A2, is excellently bred and of particular importance through its high ratio of TG genes. The pedigree of his dam, state premium mare Lalique, includes Landgraf I and Lord, the best sons of the TB sire Ladykiller, in direct succession. These icons of the Holsteiner breeding programme have exerted great infl uence on the international show jumping scene through offspring like Landlord, Lausbub, Libero, Taggi, or Livius and Lugana. In the previous generations, the bloodline includes Mikado by Marlon/TB as well as the highly interesting TB stallions Nevado and Cottage Son. Dam, 2nd dam and 3rd dam have already produced show jumpers with S level achievements, Dimona’s daughter Rarität being a particular success.
She had already succeeded in jumping classes at S level under her breeder’s daughter before she changed hands and came to Stall Moorhof where Carsten-Otto Nagel got the ride on her. Over the last years she has won and placed in jumping classes at international level. Casalito’s full sister, Cathleen, has already won jumper classes to S** level.
Casalito’s sire Casall is considered as one of the most successful show jumpers in the world and has achieved many wins and outstanding placings in top-level shows under his constant rider Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. At the London Olympics he qualifi ed for the top 25 fi nal where an injury prevented him from starting. At the 2013 European championships he won team bronze with the Swedish team under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, fi nishing fourth individually after an impressive performance. He is also a very convincing breeding stallion and has already earned a reputation as a top sire in the Holsteiner breeding programme. His offspring’s achievements in 2011 are pretty impressive: Akimba became champion mare, Cascor became 4-year-old Schleswig-Holstein show jumping champion, Chantilly was the top-selling lot in the autumn auction, and reserve champion stallion Cascadello was sold for a record breaking 600.000 euros in the auction. In 2012, the Neumünster stallion approval was dominated by Casall offspring and three of his sons were stallion graded, one of them premium stallion Clarcon which has been stationed with the Holsteiner Verband, same as Count Ebony. At the 2013 Neumünster stallion grading, his son Casaltino won champion stallion and four other sons were licensed for breeding.
Casalito passed his stallion performance test in Schlieckau in 2012. His jumping ability proved particularly impressive and was rated at 8.58. Selectively shown in competition at 4-year-old, he secured several young jumper classes, and won a division of the Elmshorn Schleswig-Holstein championship scoring 8.7 under Thomas Konle.
