Uriko has a highly interesting bloodline combining international top jumper sires in a very remarkable way. His sire Untouchable results from the cross of a son of French top sire Papillon Rouge to a daughter of Dutch top sire Heartbreaker. Untouchable’s dam line traces back to the
important Holsteiner line 18A2 through crosses to Carthago, Calypso I, Romantiker, and Cottage Son/TB. Uriko’s dam Wizzard is a daughter of Lavaletto’s son Lavito, a maternal grandson to top sire Carthago again.

Wizzard’s dam line goes back to line 4173 with crosses to the performance sires Corrado, Rocadero, Fasolt and Marlon/TB. Just recently, sport horses with international successes like for example Balourado, a Baloubet son ridden by Robert Smith, have attracted attention.

Uriko was stallion graded at the stallion approval in May 2011 and passed his 70-day performance test in Schlieckau. Uriko’s admittance for stallion grading had been based on a breeding committee decision ruling the 30-day ability assessment as successful stallion performance
testing. However, according to the Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Agriculture requirements, a stallion must undergo and pass 70-day performance testing. Uriko met these requirements in autumn 2011, with the judges confirming the talents previously shown by the young stallion. He
was awarded a 9.25 for his canter and a 8.83 for his jumping ability and achieved a total stallion performance test breeding value of 130.

Uriko embodies the modern show jumper type. At 170 cm at withers, the long-legged 7-year-old totally complies with the Holsteiner Verband breeding stallion requirements. He has an expressive head, a well-set neck of good length and a well-structured and muscular back joined by powerful
hindquarters.

Uriko performed impressively from the very first start. Under his rider Thomas Konle he won a young jumper class at A level and was highly placed in young jumper classes at L level.

Uriko’s first foal crops are characterized by very good type which has earned him 150 index points for type and conformation.
