Quintero Ask is the first licensed Quantum son. Big-framed with an extremely powerful back he is considered as one of the Holsteiner Verband’s most talented jumpers. The athletic stallion stands out  due to the carefulness, power and overall quality of his jump. Scoring 144 index points, he was the best jumper in his stallion performance test group. Ridden by Lars Bak Andersen, he qualified for the Bundeschampionat at five and six years old, placed 3rd at the Bad Segeberg state championship, placed 5th at the Lanaken young horse world championships at the age of five and took 7th place at 6 years of age.

In 2007 he and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson wrapped up the Schleswig-Holstein jumping championship, along with wins and placings in the Falsterbo, Paderborn, and Munich Grand Prixs. In 2008, Quintero impressively continued his streak of successes at Grand Prix and nations cup level at the horse shows in Bremen, Neumünster, Aachen, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Geneva. Also in 2009, he repeated his success at the Grand Prix in Leipzig, in Bremen, Hagen and at the Aachen nations cup. In 2010, he comfirmed his exceptional quality as a jumper by wins in Paris and Geneva. In 2011 he won the Grand Prix in Bremen, the Barcelona nations cup with the Swedish team and – for the third time in a row – the Gucci Challenge in Paris. 2013 again proved a very good season for Quintero and saw him finish 6th at the Gothenburg world cup final, along with other achievements. Since last year he has been shown in competition bearing the Ask suffix, the name of Rolf-Göran Bengtsson’s new sponsor.

Quintero Ask’s bloodline is an interesting blend of the stallions Quidam de Revel, Caletto II, Calando I, Farnese and Ladykiller/TB. Quintero’s sire Quantum is by Quidam de Revel, a highly successful performer himself and one of the most exceptional sport stallions in the French breeding programme. His sire Jalisco as well as his paternal 2nd sire Almé rank among the most prominent jumper sires in France.
Quintero Ask comes from the highly respected line 569. His dam, state premium mare Ibara, is by Chamonix, a successful stallion in the USA. Ibara’s 2nd sire Calando I has a reputation for his fighting spirit and performance attitude and has proved himself on the international show jumping circuit. Considering the achievements of his offspring like Careful with Eveline Blaton, Cunjeo with Karen Cudmore, or Calaro with Andreas Ripke or Cagliostro with Niklas Arvidsson, Calando I is rated as a particularly highclass jumper sire.
After the licensed Quintero son Quint was knocked down at 200.000 euros to a buyer from Saudi Arabia in the 2005 Neumünster auction, Que Guapo, another exceptional jumping stallion by Quintero realized the amazing sum of 250.000 euros at the same venue in 2007. 2008 saw Quintero’s son Quarz licensed for breeding, in 2009 his son Quick Fire became 2nd reserve champion of the Neumünster approval.

Quintero already boasts numerous offspring successfully shown to S level. His daugher Quibell in particular is rated as one of Germany’s best up-and-coming horses under her rider Henrik von Eckermann.
Breitling LS, 8-year-old licensed Quintero son out of an Accord II dam was sold to a sponsor of US American Beezie Madden for a king’s ransom.
